Cookie notice
There is no shopping cart here, no account and no advertising network. The only optional cookies on this site are analytics ones, and they stay off until you say yes.

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Related technologies — local storage, for instance — work the same way. This notice covers both.
Strictly necessary
One item of local storage remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we don't ask again on every page. It contains a single word and cannot identify you. It cannot be switched off without breaking the banner itself.
Analytics — optional, off by default
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets cookies (typically _ga and _ga_<id>) that expire after up to two years. They let us count visits and see which guides people actually read. IP addresses are truncated by Google, and we have not enabled advertising features, remarketing or demographic reporting.
- Purpose: aggregate readership statistics only.
- Provider: Google LLC.
- Duration: up to 24 months.
- Off unless you press Accept.
What we don't use
- Advertising or retargeting pixels.
- Cross-site tracking or data brokers.
- Social media tracking widgets embedded in articles.
Third-party pages
Links in our guides go to marinas, restaurants, parks and charter operators. Those sites set their own cookies once you arrive, and we have no control over them.
